It all begins with an idea and following your heart…
I grew up in a charming coastal town of Labin, Croatia, where style wasn’t about chasing trends, but it was more about creativity, resourcefulness, and adding a touch of magic to whatever you had. I remember being at my grandma’s house, and wearing my mom’s old clothes and shoes when I was a mini-teenager. :) My mother, a talented seamstress with an impeccable eye for detail, who was sewing her own clothes in the ‘80s, taught me that style is a form of self-expression and confidence.
With limited shopping options, I learned early on how to transform a simple piece into something extraordinary, often inspired by trips to Italy where fashion spilled into the streets like poetry. Years later, after moving abroad, I realized that my gift wasn’t just putting together beautiful outfits, it was also helping women (and men) see themselves in a new, radiant light. That’s why I started my personal styling business- to combine my European flair with a modern approach, creating wardrobes that tell each client’s story while making them feel effortlessly chic. For me, it’s not just about clothes- it’s about connection, transformation, and a little sparkle of everyday elegance. I believe that style is a bridge between who you are and who you’re becoming.
Living abroad has also thought me about my love for thrifting, sustainability and recycling. I had often worn my cousins’ clothes, those who lived abroad and had had more opportunities in life than me. I couldn’t wait for the Summer to see what I am going to get each year. It had always made me excited and grateful.
When I moved to Cork, Ireland, I started volunteering at a thrift store after work. I got an opportunity to be more creative and playful and I had found some good gems in there, too. The girl I worked with was amazing! This inspired me even more to pursue a course in fashion. As Cork didn’t have many opportunities, I moved to Dublin, Dun Laoghaire/Sallynoggin area. I absolutely loved it there! Dun Laoghaire is a charm, coastal town, with a nice promenade, history, cobalt streets and a beautiful library with a view of the harbor. I would walk its piers almost every day.
My college amazing and I had started learning so much more about fashion, styling, merchandising, creativity and everything in between. I absolutely loved my teacher and Bernie, the canteen lady! :)
Today, I live in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, with my husband and our cat, Whiskey. My love for travel, discovering new cultures, helping others, and connecting with people around the world and in my community, has brought me to where I am today. I love what I do. I love seeing my clients confident in what they wear after our sessions. It is what makes me excited to live my life more powerfully and passionately every day. I love sharing my life experience and styling knowledge with others. My goal in life is to help people around the world and not only in Minnesota, through my online services, workshops and e-books.
